• The appliance has reached the correct temperature
when the control lamp on the thermostat goes off.
• During operation, the pilot lamp switches on and off.
This is normal and indicates that the temperature is
being thermostatically controlled and maintained.
Fat Collecting Pan
Excess fat collects in the drip tray.
• Slide the drip tray into the bracket under the griddle.
• When grilling you should check the contents regularly
and empty the pan when necessary.
Using the Appliance
WARNING:
The appliance is hot during use!
CAUTION: Avoid damage to the non-stick coated
grill surfaces!
•
Only use wooden or Teflon spatula.
• Do not use pointed objects (e. g. knife, fork) on the grill
surface.
• Do not use plastic utensils. They can melt.
NOTE:
• Use the corrugated side of the griddle for meat, in
order to achieve an intensive grill pattern.
• The non-stick coated grill surfaces enable dishes to be
prepared without the use of fat.
• If you want to use oil ensure that it is highly heatable,
such as sunflower oil. Do not use olive oil or butter,
since they start smoking already at low temperatures.
• Preheat the appliance for around 6 minutes. When the
pilot lamp goes out, the grill is ready to use.
• The cooking time depends on the type of food, the quan-
tity, and how well cooked the food needs to be, and it
must be determined according to your own preferences.

• When the cooking process is complete, switch the tem-
perature control to “1” to keep the food warm.
