Clean the ironing base with a slightly damp cloth.
•
In order to remove all residues before initial use, please pass the iron a few
times over an old clean cloth.

Press button (14) and remove the water tank. Fill the water tank by the filling
aperture (9) with not more than one litre of pure water.

NOTE: If no steam comes out when the first time the machine is used and all
instructions have been followed, keep the pump button pressed (3) for approx.
one minute so that the water is pumped from the water tank into the iron. It is
also possible to lock the pump button (3) in place. Then steam should come out.
Using the Machine
Ironing without Steam
The clothes to be ironed should be sorted out according to their ironing
temperature.
1. Turn the steam control to the middle position "0".
2. Please begin with the lowest temperature. This can be set on the temperature
regulator (1):

Synthetic materials, silk (low temperature)
• •
Wool
(medium temperature)
• • • Cotton, linen
(high temperature)
3. Place the machine on the iron well (10).
4. Insert the plug into a correctly installed safety power socket, 230 V, 50 Hz. The
control lamp of the machine (13) shows the mains connection.
5. The control lamp of the iron (7) shows it is being heated up. As soon as the con-
trol lamp goes off the operating temperature has been reached. Now you can
start ironing.
6. Always remove the mains plug after using the machine.
Steam Ironing
1. Turn the temperature control (1) to position "• • •" (cotton, linen).
2. Turn the steam control (2) to the desired steam quantity.
3. Press and lock the pump button (3) in position. Steam operation begins.
4. With the button (6) it is possible to produce a short, powerful jet of steam.
