5. Remove the protective caps from the fork prongs and insert
the fork into the thickest part of the meat. Avoid placing the prongs
directly against bone or other sections of meat containing large
fat deposits.
Note:
It can take up to 15−20 seconds for the fork
prongs to reach and display the correct temperature.
6. Let the thermometer rest in the meat. Once the set temperature is
reached, the display will flash and the buzzer will sound indicating
that the meat is ready.
7. The buzzer will sound for 60 seconds. Turn the alarm off by pressing:
[ TASTE ], [ MEAT ] or [ MODE ].
8. Probe other sections of the meat to ensure that the temperature
is even throughout.
9. Clean the thermometer’s fork carefully after each use. Refer to
the
Care and maintenance
section below.
Note:
Never use the thermometer in a closed oven or close the BBQ
lid over it. The handle cannot tolerate such high temperatures.
Measure temperature of oven roasted meat only after removing it
from the oven and measure the temperature of barbecued meats with
the lid off and never expose the handle to the direct heat of the coals.
Let the fork’s prongs cool for about a minute before attempting to
touch them.
Countdown Timer
1. Press [ MODE ] to turn the BBQ thermometer
on. The display will show the previous setting/
function. Press [ MODE ] once to select
the
TMR
function.
2. Hold in [ MODE ] until the minutes marker (M)
begins to flash. Set the desired number of minutes
using the [ MEAT ] and [ TASTE ] buttons and
confirm by pressing [ MODE ] to save the setting.
3. Press [ TASTE ] to start the countdown. Press
[ TASTE ] again to pause the countdown.
4. When the time is up ”0” will flash on the display
and the buzzer will sound for 60 seconds.
Turn off the alarm by pressing: [ TASTE ], [ MEAT ]
or [ MODE ].
Measuring temperature
1. Press [ MODE ] to turn the BBQ thermometer
on. The display will show the previous setting/
function. Press [ MODE ] twice to select
the
TEMP
setting.
2. Hold in [ MODE ] until the temperature begins
flashing on the display.
3. Press [ TASTE ] for increasing or [ MEAT ] for
decreasing the temperature setting.
4. Push [ MODE ] to save your settings.

6. Once the meat has reached the desired
temperature, the temperature reading will flash
and the buzzer will sound for 60 seconds.
