• The electrical socket to which the appliance is connected should be protected by an RCD
with a tripping current of 30 mA.
• Place the appliance on a firm, flat and level surface. Never operate the appliance on a soft,
pliable surface such a cushion or quilt.
• Fill the tank with water before plugging the appliance into an electrical socket. Never place
your hands into the water when the appliance is switched on.
• Make sure that the water level in the tank does not exceed the maximum mark.
Items not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning
Soft jewellery such as pearls
or jewellery made of:
• Emerald
• Ivory
• Coral
• Agate
• Sea shells
These items are too soft and may scratch during cleaning.
Welded or plated metal items.
Glued items.
Ultrasonic cleaning may enlarge any gaps inside the joints.
This can cause the joints to fail and the items to come apart.
Watches with lower water-
resistance ratings than
10 ATM/100 m.
• Remove the watch strap from the watch and wash the strap in
the basket if the watch has a lower rating than
10 ATM/100 m
.
• In order to be able to use the included watch stand which
holds the watch above the water, the watch casing must be
water resistant to at least
10 ATM/100 m.
• The ultrasonic waves might cause water to penetrate the ca-
sing of watches with lower water resistance despite them
being held above the surface of the water.
• Never immerse a watch in the water tank of the appliance,
regardless of its water resistance rating.
• Make sure that the any buttons on the watch are pushed in
and that all the seals are in good condition before placing
the watch in the holder.
