• The infrared heater becomes very hot during use and will remain so for a while,
even after being switched off. The infrared heater should therefore never be
touched until it has cooled sufficiently.
• The infrared heater should be treated with care; it should not be subjected to
impacts and vibrations.
• The infrared heater must only be connected to an earthed electrical socket.
• If the infrared heater is damaged it should be replaced by a qualified service technician.
• If the mains lead is damaged it must only be replaced by the manufacturer, retailer
or other qualified service technician.
• The infrared heater may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their
safety, provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and
understand the hazards involved.
• The infrared heater is only intended for domestic use. It must not be used on
building sites, in greenhouses, barns or stables containing combustible dust.

easy to access.

• Never turn the heater off by pulling out its plug. Always turn the heater off by
setting the on/off switch to the off position.
• Make sure that no foreign objects get inside the infrared heater since this may
cause short circuiting, electric shock, or a fire hazard.
• Never position the infrared heater so that the mains lead is in front of or touching
the heating element.
Warning
The infrared heater is not equipped with a thermostat which can be set to the desired
temperature of a room. It should therefore not be used in small rooms occupied by
people incapable of leaving the rooms unaided; otherwise the heater should be under
constant supervision.
Tip-over switch
The infrared heater has a safety mechanism to reduce the risk of fires – a built-in tip-
over switch which switches the infrared heater off if it leans or falls over. The tip-over
switch contains moving parts and if the infrared heater is inclined or moved it could
sound like something is loose or broken, but this is completely normal.
Care and cleaning
We recommend that the infrared heater is cleaned at least once a month and before
storing it away.
1. Switch the infrared heater off, unplug it from the wall socket and let it cool.
2. Use a dry cloth to wipe off any dust or debris from the housing.
3. Avoid using water, wax, polish, solvents or other chemical solutions.
