3.
Removing Tools
•
Ensure the drill has completely stopped.
•
Pull back the quick release collar, with the other hand pull the tool out of the chuck
and store safely.
NOTE: for your protection, if the tool is hot, either allow
it to cool down first or use industrial gloves to remove
the tool.
4.
Starting Work
•
Ensure the work area is as hazard free as possible.
•
Select and install the tool to be used.
•
If required set the depth stop and adjust the
support handle for the most comfortable position,
(see Fig. 2). To install the depth stop, loosen the
support handle by turning it anticlockwise.
Insert the stop rod (

) into the support handle, lock
into required position by turning handle clockwise.
•
Set the required mode, see paragraphs
6 & 7
.
•
Plug the drill into the main electrical supply.
•
Position the tool against the surface to be drilled and squeeze the trigger.
NOTE: if using the hammer action, DO NOT start the drill until the
tool is in contact with the surface to be drilled/chiselled etc.
5.
Dust Collection.
•
When drilling vertically overhead, fit the rubber dust
collector (

) onto the drill (see Fig. 3).
