Function

Dust Guard,

 prevents dust and foreign objects entering the chuck.

Quick Release Chuck Collar,

 enables quick tool changing.

Mode Selection Knob (1), 

selects either normal with rotation or hammer action

only (Chiselling etc).

Gear Box Plug, 

remove plug to tip up gearbox with grease.

Trigger, 

starts and stops the drill.

Mode Selection Knob (2), 

selects either  smooth drilling or hammer drilling action.

Support Handle, 

used to support the drill with second hand, also holds the depth

stop.

Brush Cap, 

unscrew to inspect/fit motor brushes.

Operation

1.

Before Starting Work

Before drilling into walls etc, check first there are no hidden electrical cables, gas or
water pipes etc.

Check the mains voltage before plugging in and switching on.

2.

Fitting And Changing Tools

Clean tools, and apply a thin film of grease before fitting.

Pull back the quick release collar, insert tool to be installed, into the chuck and
rotate and push as far as it will go. Release the collar, the tool will then lock
automatically.

Check the tool is locked in securely by attempting to pull the tool out.
