Powering On the Cisco VG202 and Cisco VG204
Voice Gateways
To power on your Cisco VG202 and Cisco VG204 voice gateways, perform the following tasks in the
order listed, as required:

Checklist for Power-On
You can power on a Cisco VG202 or Cisco VG204 voice gateway if it meets the requirements described
in
Chapter 3, “Installing Cisco VG202 and Cisco VG204 Voice Gateways”
:
•
The chassis is securely mounted.
•
The power cable is connected.
•
The interface cables are connected.
Power-On Procedure
Perform this procedure to power on your Cisco VG202 or Cisco VG204 voice gateway and to verify that
the device completes its initialization and self-test. Then, the Cisco VG202 or Cisco VG204 voice
gateway is ready to configure.
To power on a Cisco VG202 or Cisco VG204 voice gateway, follow these steps:
Step 1
Plug in the external power supply.
The green OK LED should come on. If this does not happen, see the
“Troubleshooting” section on
page 4-6
.
The following message appears at the end of the bootup messages:
