(3) Two Standard Drive Bays with Expander Transition Cards

■

This option accommodates a maximum of sixteen drives. One RAID controller is required to 
control all sixteen drives. One cable must be connected to the RAID controller from each 
transition card.

Caveats

■

You cannot mix drive bay types. You must order either one or two identical drive bay types 
listed in 

Table 7 on page 16

.

NOTE:  

With this configuration, two RAID controllers can also be installed, with one 

cable from each transition card to each RAID controller.
