This manual is a
GTEST Probe
installation guide. For further in-
formation, please download the full manual from the

web site: www.circutor.com
IMPORTANT!
The
GTEST Probe
measurement electrode is
an accessory whose sole use is to take step and
contact measurements with the
GETEST
device.
Contact after-sales service if you suspect that the
device is not working properly. Do not make any
changes to the product.
Do not use the product if has been altered or
damaged.
The manufacturer of the device is not responsible
for any damage resulting from failure by the user
or installer to heed the warnings and/or recom-
mendations set out in this manual, nor for damage
resulting from the use of non-original products or
accessories or those made by other manufacturers.
1. DESCRIPTION
The
GTEST Probe
measurement electrode is an accessory that
simplifies feed-through and contact voltage measurements by
replacing the 25 kg weights. The measurement electrodes allow a
person to use their weight to make the measurement.
Because the
GETEST
device can generate up to 600 V~, the
measurement electrode is properly insulated. For your safety, please
read the warnings in this guide.
2. USE
IMPORTANT!
Read all warnings carefully before handling and
using the electrodes.
For use by authorised or specialised personnel only.
Inspect the electrodes before each measurement
and do not use them if the insulation material is
damaged or broken.
They should only be used in dry environmental
conditions. Never use them in the rain.
Keep the electrode surface clean using a soft cloth
and soapy water. Keep the electrode dry at all
times. Never use abrasive cleaning elements.
Do not subject the electrodes to blows or allow
them to come into contact with sharp objects that
may degrade the insulation.
Store the electrodes in a dry place sheltered from
rain, prolonged exposure to sunlight or other
agents that can degrade the insulation.
Follow the steps below to take step and contact voltage measure-
ments with the
GETEST
:
1.-
Connect the electrode terminal to the
GETEST
voltage measure-
ment terminal using the cables supplied with the device.
Note:
Never connect the electrode to the current injection terminals.
2.-
Place the electrodes on the surface, with the metallic side in
contact with the ground.
3.-
Keep the electrodes:
- 1 m apart for the
step voltage
test (
Figure 1
).
- 1 m away from the conducting surface to be tested in the
contact
voltage
test (
Figure 2
).
4.-
For the contact test, use the electrode connecting cable supplied
with the device.
5.-
Ensure the electrodes are stable.
IMPORTANT!
Despite featuring a non-slip design, the electrodes
can slide on the surface. Make sure they are stable
before using them.
6.-
Stand on the electrodes, stepping inside the marked surface
(
Figure 3
).
IMPORTANT!
Always wear non-conducting safety footwear when
using the electrodes.
Always stand inside the marked area.
7.-
Keep your body in a fixed position that avoids motion during
the measurements.
IMPORTANT!
Keep an upright and relaxed position while standing
on the electrodes.
For a correct measurement, the weight of the
person must be at least
50 kg
.
8.-
Take the measurement.
IMPORTANT!
Do not touch the metal surfaces during the
measurements.
Never touch the conducting surface to be tested
during the contact voltage measurement.
