The board has the following add-in card connectors :

One M.2 socket 1, with E key, type 2230 Wi-Fi devices support

one M.2 socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support
4.6 Disk drives
4.6.1 Serial ATA interface
The board provides four Serial ATA (SATA) 6.0 Gb/s connectors (black) which support one device per connector.
4.6.1.1 Serial ATA support
The PCH provides independent SATA ports with a theoretical maximum transfer rate of 6.0 Gb/s for four ports.
The underlying SATA functionality is transparent to the operating system. The SATA controller can operate in both legacy and native
modes. In legacy mode, standard IDE I/O and IRQ resources are assigned. In Native mode, standard PCI Conventional bus resource
steering is used. Native mode is the preferred mode for configurations using the Windows® 7, Windows® 8 and Windows® 10 operating
systems.

4.6.2 Optical drives
The CIARA Astro SN-170T model may be supplied with an external SATA DVD drive. The DVD drive storage device is capable of holding
4.7 to 8.5 Gbytes of data. The system may be equipped with either a DVD-ROM drive, a DVD writer, a Blu-ray drive or Blu-ray writer.
