devices
Learn how to add, edit, and remove external storage devices and ingest sources.
Adding a new storage device
Add a new storage device to store and play content.
1. In the left navigation menu, select Service Setup > Storage Device Setup.
2. Select + New Storage Device.
3. Complete these fields:
•
Name—The name of the storage device.
•
IP Address—The IP address of the storage device.
•
Username—The user account or ID (if required to connect to the storage device).
•
Password—The password for the user account (if required to connect to the storage
device).
•
Share Folder—The folder where content is stored.
•
Drive Type—Select Content Drive or Ingest Drive.
4. To make the content drive the primary storage drive, select the Set as Primary Drive slider.
The color of the slider changes to green to indicate it is active.
5. To test the connection to the storage device, select Test Connection.
6. Select Save.
Editing storage device settings
Edit storage device settings when device or communication settings change.
1. In the left navigation menu, select Service Setup > Storage Device Setup.
2. Select a storage device in the left pane.
3. Edit the settings in the right pane.
4. Select Save.
Setting a storage device as a primary drive
A primary drive is the device that is the primary source of content.
1. In the left navigation menu, select Service Setup > Storage Device Setup.
