With the DP1.0 it is not possible to display an image on DVI / HDMI devices. An
active adapter with properties of DP++ is required for this.

Display Port 1.1 is also known as "Dual-Mode Display Port" and "Display
Port++". This allows compatibility with DVI and HDMI.
