I
NTRODUCTION
This manual describes assembly/disassembly, setting up, operation, transport, clearing and
maintenance of the LIRA and LIRA PLUS semi-automatic cutters made by CHOCOLATE
WORLD, Antwerp - Belgium.
The information given below meets the requirements of Directives 98/37/EC and 2006/42/CE on
machinery, and also of UNI 10893:2000 and UNI 10653:2000 technical standards.
Before operating the cutter for the first time, read all instructions in this manual. After reading, it is
advisable to keep it close at hand to consult it any time when necessary in order to operate the LIRA
and LIRA PLUS Semi-Automatic Cutters at their optimum condition and prolong their service life.
In case of loss further copies of this manual can be obtained from CHOCOLATE WORLD
CHOCOLATE WORLD holds no liability in case of damage due to misuse, neglect or non-
compliance with these instructions.
Only CHOCOLATE WORLD authorised personnel have to perform maintenance and repair of the
machine. CHOCOLATE WORLD has highly specialised personnel who are experienced in regular
cleaning and maintenance, which are essential for long service life and trouble-free operation of
your machine.
Designed in compliance with Directives 98/37/EC and 2006/42/CE on machinery, the cutter has the
CE conformity marking.
See Section 11 of this manual for reference to design, construction and testing regulations.
As a final quality test each machine is tested in-house for safety and reliability. However, upon
delivery the machine should be checked carefully for any transportation damage as outlined in
Section 7.3 of this manual.

The court of jurisdiction for any dispute arising hereunder shall be the Court of Antwerp.
