Work piece and Work Area Set Up

Work piece selection:

1. 

Work piece must be free of foreign 

a. 

objects and loose knots.
Do not use to cut logs, tree limbs, or

uneven lumber.
Wet lumber, green (unseasoned)

lumber, and pressure treated lumber all 

have an increased potential for kickback 

and should only be cut with a blade 

designed for cutting that lumber.  Wear 

a NIOSH-approved respirator and have 

appropriate ventilation whenever cutting 

pressure treated lumber.

Designate a work area that is clean and

well-lit.  The work area must not allow 

access by children or pets to prevent 

distraction and injury.
Route the power cord along a safe

route to reach the work area without 

creating a tripping hazard or exposing 

the power cord to possible damage.  The 

power cord must reach the work area 

with enough extra length to allow free 

movement while working.
Secure loose workpieces using a vise

Verify that there are no utility lines or

is especially critical for plunge cuts.

120 volt, grounded, electrical outlet.

Position the Saw Blade (20) about

workpiece.  Do not allow the Saw Blade 

to come in contact with the workpiece.

Turn the Laser Switch (74) to its

“On”

 

position, and align the laser beam with 

the cut line on the workpiece.

Depress the Safety Button and then

Circular Saw.
Allow the Saw Blade (20) to rotate at full

Make sure to hold the Circular Saw firmly

finish making the cut.
When finished, release the Trigger (67)

the Saw Blade (20) stops completely.  

Turn the Laser Switch (74) to its 

“OFF”

from the workpiece.
To prevent accidents, turn off the tool

and disconnect its power supply after 

use.  Clean, then store the tool indoors 

out of children’s reach.
