INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING

WARNING!

Make sure the Power Switch (5) of the Blower is in its

“OFF”

position and the tool is disconnected from its AC/DC Adapter (20) before perform-
ing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

Before each use,

inspect the general condition of the Blower.  Check for loose

screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, dam-
aged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further
use.

Do not use damaged equipment.

To install a new Battery (3) in the Blower:

The life of the Battery (when prop-

erly used) is approximately one year.  The Battery must be replaced if it fails to
take a charge, leaks, or is otherwise damaged.  To replace the Battery, unscrew
the Bolt (8) located on the Battery Cover (1).  Remove the Battery Cover to ex-
pose the Battery.  Remove the Battery.  While wearing gloves and ANSI approved
goggles to protect against possible electrolyte leakage, remove the battery.
Carefully disconnect the old Battery Wire Connectors.

 (Make sure to dispose of

the old Battery according to local hazardous waste regulations).

  Connect the

new Battery Wire Connectors, and install the new Battery in the Battery Compart-
ment.

Make sure the Wires are not pinched when reinstalling the Battery.

Replace the Battery Cover.  Then, replace the Bolt to hold the Battery Cover in
place.

NOTE:

The new Battery must be charged from

10 to 12 hours

 prior to

using the Blower.
