Retightening Wheel Nuts
Check the wheel nuts to confirm
that they are tightened to the
specified torque by using a torque
wrench.
Use the following method to check
for loose wheel nuts. Tightening
torque of the wheel nuts may
decrease after tire change or
rotation due to initial settling. After
driving 1 040 km (650 mi) and after
10 400 km (6,500 mi), be sure to
retighten the wheel nuts to the
specified torque.
Repeat whenever a wheel, wheel
bolt, or wheel nut is removed.

Turn the wheel nuts in the tightening
direction to the specified torque.
