The Skamol boards should extend to a minimum height of 2200mm from the hearth when using a triple skin flue kit OR all

the way to the ceiling when using a single skin flue kit (refer to page 17). When using Skamotec board with a 50mm air

gap behind, it must also be ventilated for natural air flow circulation, (refer to page 15 & 16 for ventilation requirements).

Brick/Hebel

A minimum 110mm solid brick/hebel thick wall should extend a minimum height of 2200mm from the hearth when

using a triple skin flue kit or to the ceiling when using a single skin flue kit.

NON-COMBUSTIBLE CEILING:

For freestanding installations where the ceiling height is

less than 3 metres from the hearth, a non-combustible

board must be used on the ceiling and must extend

1600mm in all directions from the flue outer casing,

unless forming an abutment with a wall. This can be

made of a minimum 8mm cement sheet or equivalent.

GLASS CLEARANCE:

A minimum 1500mm from the front

glass to any combustible surfaces must be maintained.

CORNER CLEARANCES:

The same rear clearance

as depicted in these illustrations applies from the two

furtherest back corner points of the fireplace to each

corner wall. Base/hearth size remains the same (page 13)
