MAINTENANCE

Adding Brake Fluid

WARNING

Brake fl uid causes skin irritation. Rinse the a

ﬀ

ected area with plenty of water in the event of contact with

the skin.

Keep brake fl uid out of the reach of children.

Keep brake fl uid away from skin, eyes or clothing. Wear protective clothing and goggles when required.

Consult a doctor immediately if brake fl uid has been swallowed.

Rinse eyes thoroughly with water immediately and consult a doctor if brake fl uid comes into contact with
the eyes.

If brake fl uid spills onto your clothing, change the clothing.

WARNING

Brake fl uid used for long time without replacement will reduce braking e

ﬃ

ciency. Please change the brake

fl uid according to the Periodical Maintenance Schedule. Only use the same type DOT4 brake fl uid as
marked on the fl uid reservoir. The mixing of di

ﬀ

erent brake fl uid types may cause brake system damage

or failure. Please contact your authorized CFMOTO dealer for brake fl uid maintenance.

NOTE

When the brake fluid level goes down, it causes negative pressure inside the fluid reservoir, which may
lead to reservoir gasket sag. Remove the reservoir cap to release the pressure. Adjust the reservoir
gasket and then install the gasket and cap.
