 P rocedures not specif ically  ex plained in th is m anual m ust 

be perf orm ed only  by  a q ualif ied tech nician.

TO P R EV ENT SER IOU S INJU R Y  FR OM ACCIDENTAL OP ER ATION:  

Turn of f  th e tool,  detach  th e air supply ,  saf ely  disch arg e any  residual air pressure 

in th e tool,  and release th e th rottle and/ or turn th e sw itch  to its of f  position bef ore 

perf orm ing  any  inspection,  m aintenance,  or cleaning  procedures.

TO P R EV ENT SER IOU S INJU R Y  FR OM TOOL FAILU R E:  

Do not use dam ag ed eq uipm ent.   If  abnorm al noise,  v ibration,  

or leak ing  air occurs,  h av e th e problem  corrected bef ore f urth er use.

TO P R EV ENT SER OU S INJU R Y  FR OM EX P LOSION:    

Lubricate th e tool only  w ith  specif ied lubricants.   Lubricate th e air inlet using  only  

pneum atic tool oil.   Oth er lubricants m ay  dam ag e th e m ech anism  and m ay  be 

h ig h ly  f lam m able,  causing  an ex plosion.

Cleaning ,  Maintenance,  and Lubrication

Note:

  These procedures are in addition to the regular checks and maintenance 

explained as part of the regular operation of the air-operated tool.

1. 

BEFOR E EACH U SE,

 inspect the general 

condition of the tool.  Check for:
•   loose hardware or housing, 
•   misalignment or binding of moving parts, 
•   cracked or broken parts, and 
•   any other condition that may 

affect its safe operation.

2. 

Daily  - Air Supply  Maintenance:  

Every day, maintain the air supply according 

to the component manufacturers' instructions.   

Maintain the lubricator's oil level.  

Drain the moisture filter regularly.    

Performing routine air supply maintenance 

will allow the tool to operate more safely 

and will also reduce wear on the tool.

3. 

W eek ly  –  Lubrication:  

Add a high quality machine oil to the oil inlet by 

removing the Oil Screw.

4. 

Q uarterly  ( ev ery  3  m onth s)  –  

Tool Disassem bly ,  Cleaning ,  and Inspection:  

Have the internal mechanism cleaned, inspected, 

and lubricated by a qualified technician.
