Anytime any maintenance or repairs are done (including clearing jams), FIRST:

1.

Disconnect the Stapler from its air supply.

2.

Empty the Magazine B (49) completely.

3.

Attempt to fire the Stapler into a piece of scrap wood to ensure that it is
disconnected and is incapable of firing any Staples.

4.

Always leave the Magazine B (49) open during maintenance.  The Magazine is
spring loaded, and may cause parts or a Staple to fly out of the Stapler.

CLEARING JAMS

1.

Occasionally, a Staple (69) may become jammed in the firing mechanism of the
Stapler, making the tool inoperable.  To remove a jammed Staple, disconnect the
Stapler from its air supply.  Empty the Magazine B (49) completely of Staples.
Attempt to fire the Stapler into a piece of scrap wood to ensure it is disconnected
and is incapable of firing any Staples.

2.

Unlatch and remove the Drive Cover (46).  This allows access to the Drive Guide
(48) where a Staple (69) will usually jam.

3.

Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the jammed Staple (69).  Then, replace
the Drive Cover (46).

4.

Reload the Stapler with Staples (69).  Then, reconnect the air supply hose to the
tool.

5.

Press the Drive Guide (48) against a piece of scrap wood, and test fire the Stapler
several times while checking for proper operation.  If the Stapler is properly firing,
you may continue using the tool.  If the tool fails to perform properly, immediately
discontinue use and have the tool repaired by a qualified service technician.

6.

When finished working, disconnect the air supply.  Remove the Staples (69).
Then, store the Stapler in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of children.
