Bandsaw to remove material faster

than it is designed to cut.
Never attempt to remove mate-

16.

rial stuck in the moving parts of the

Bandsaw while it is plugged in and

running.  Turn off the Bandsaw if the

workpiece is to be backed out of an

uncompleted cut.
Once the cut is made, turn the Power

17.

Switch (20) to its

“OFF”

 position.

Then unplug the Power Supply Cord

(97) from its electrical outlet.
Wait until the Saw Blade (86) comes

18.

to a complete stop.  Then remove the

workpiece and scrap material from

the Vertical Cutting Plate (99).

Basic Operation - Horizontal position:

WArNING!

1.

Do not plug the Power

Supply Cord (97) into a 120 volt,

grounded, electrical outlet until all

necessary adjustments have been

made (as previously discussed in this

manual).
Prior to operating the Bandsaw in its

2.

horizontal cutting position, remove

the Vertical Cutting Plate (99) and

re-install the two Cross Head Screws

(87) in the lower Lower Blade Guard

(9).

(See Figure T.)

Raise the Body Frame (126) to its

3.

full vertical position.
Secure the workpiece in the Vise

4.

(34, 36) assembly.  When cutting a

large workpiece, make sure its en-

tire length is properly supported.  If

necessary, use a roller stand (not

included) with a larger workpiece.

If cutting several workpieces at the

5.

same length, you may wish to adjust

the Stock Stop (29) to the desired

position.
Once all necessary adjustments to

6.

the Bandsaw have been made, plug

the Power Supply Cord (97) into the

nearest 120 volt, grounded, electrical

outlet.
Turn the Power Switch (20) to its “ON”

7.

position.
Before cutting, check for loose Saw

8.

Blade (86) tension or machine vibra-

tion.  If this is found, turn off the Band-

saw and correct the problem before

operating.
Allow the Saw Blade (86) to turn up to

9.

full speed.  Then slowly lower the Body

Frame (126) until the Saw Blade is just

above the workpiece cut line.

WArNING!

10.

ALWAYS keep hands and

fingers safely away from the cutting

area.
Slowly lower the Body Frame (126)

11.

while it gradually feeds the Saw Blade

(86) into the workpiece.  Do not force

the Bandsaw to remove material faster

than it is designed to cut.
 Never attempt to remove material

12.

stuck in the moving parts of the Band-

saw while it is plugged in and running.

Turn off the Bandsaw if the workpiece

is to be backed out of an uncompleted

cut.

IMpOrTANT:

13.

When in the horizontal

cutting mode only, the Switch Cut-Off

Screw (77) will automatically turn the

Power Switch (20) to its “OFF” posi-

tion and shut off the Bandsaw’s Motor
