Turn the power Switch of the
tool to its “OFF” position and
unplug the tool from its
electrical outlet before
performing any adjustments
or maintenance procedures.
Blade Guide Bearing Adjustment:
The Blade Guide Bearings (71) 1. must
be properly adjusted to make square
cuts. (See Figure F.)
The Blade Guide Bearings (71) are 2.
adjusted and tested by the Bandsaw
manufacturer to ensure proper set-
ting. The need for adjustment should
rarely occur if the Bandsaw is oper-
ated properly. If the Blade Guide
Bearings do get out of adjustment, it
is important to readjust immediately.
There should be 0.001” clearance

between the Saw Blade (86) and the
Blade Guide Bearings (71). To obtain
this clearance:
The outer Blade Guide Bearings •
(71) are mounted to a Guide Pivot
(72, 74) and can be adjusted. (The
inner Blade Guide Bearing is not
adjustable. (See Figure F.)
Loosen the Hex Nut (7) while hold- •
ing the Guide Pivot (72, 74) with a
wrench. (See Figure F.)
Use a steel 0.001” feeler gauge. •
Rotate Guide Pivot (72,74) to in-
crease or decrease the clearance
between Saw Blade and the Guide
Bearings. Then tighten the Hex Nut
(7). (See Figure F.)
Adjust the second Blade Guide •
Bearing (71) in the same manner.
NOTE: The back edge of the Saw
•
Blade should just touch the lip of
the Blade Guide Bearing (71).

The Blade Guide Adjustment Screw 1.
(67) allows you to adjust the posi-
tion of the Blade Guide Bearings (71)
span for various workpiece widths.
(See Figure G, next page.)
To obtain the most accurate cut and 2.
prolong the life of the Saw Blade (86),
the Blade Guide Assembly spread
should be adjusted for each job ap-
plication. To do so:
Place the workpiece in the Vise •
(34, 36) of the Bandsaw and tightly
clamp.
