1.
CAUTION: Prior to performing any adjustments, make sure the Power
Switch (part #21A*) is in its “OFF” position and that the Power Cord (part
#22A*) is unplugged from its electrical power outlet. (See Figure D.)
2.
Lift up on the Head Lock Lever Assembly (part #52). Then turn the Handle
Assembly (part #11)
clockwise
to raise the depth or
counterclockwise
to lower the
depth to the desired setting as indicated by the Pointer (part #86) and Ruler.

3.
After adjusting the planing depth, make sure to lower the Head Lock Assembly
(part #52) to lock the desired setting in position.

Preset the planing depth if necessary, using the Thickness Gauge (part #79).
