The control panel (Console onboard the machine) allows a full management of the X-ray device. The arrangement of
controls has been designed to divide the panel into 2 areas.
The upper part features a touch screen display that allows the user to select the settings necessary upon the
examination start, thus to select the EXAMINATION to be carried out and view the state information.
The lower part is composed of 7 buttons which allow moving X-ray device parts (column, chin rest, laser traces) used
for Patient positioning.
The control panel features 3 LED lights which indicate the state of the system:
If the X-ray device is on, the Green LED on the left is on. If the X-ray device is in pause
mode (Standby), the Green LED on the left flashes.
The central Green LED steadily on indicates that the X-ray device is ready for the X-ray
emiss
ion, hereinafter referred to as “Ready status”: if pressed, the remote X
-ray button
makes the X-ray examination start.
If instead the central Green LED flashes, it means that the device is connected to an
INTERLOCK switch that signals to the machine that the access door of the radiology
room is open; in this case, the Ready status is only potential, since X-ray emission will be
activated only after the door is closed. Should the remote X-ray emission button be
pressed, the display will show an error message (see the section Error messages).
The Yellow LED on the right lights up when an X-ray emission is in progress.
