3.
Insert the portafilter in its position and make sure it is securely fitted.
4.
Place a large container (approx. 2 L) on the cup-holder tray. Make sure it is big enough so
that water coming out from the water tube, nozzle and steam tube can fall inside it.
5.
Press and hold the Hot water button for 5 seconds for the machine to enter Autocleaning
mode.
6.
Turn the steam knob to the MAX. position. Hot water with descaling product (or the used
one) will be emitted through the portafilter spouts and hot water and steam tubes. This
process will take from 10 to 15 minutes, then the coffee machine will turn off.
7.
Once it has finished, fill the water tank with clear water and repeat these steps until there
is no more descaling product.
8.
Clean the water tank and the drip tray.
Notes:
– During the Autocleaning process, the pump will turn on and off intermittently, this is normal
and does not involve malfunction.
– During the Autocleaning process, the steam knob must not be set at “0”. The machine will
beep once to remind it must be turned to the MAX. mark in order to clean the steam tube.
