PLASMA CONSOLE PW30.
4.1 General remarks.
Console PW30 consists of a direct current power source built with inverter technology and designed to start the pilot
arc in a plasma welding system. The arc is struck with the aid of high-frequency (HF) high-voltage generated by the
internal circuits.
Two hydraulic circuits (Main and Aux) are connected to the power source to cool the torch. Two air circuits are also
connected to control plasma and shield gases.
Everything is managed by the console control, which communicates with the control of power source (21) by means of
a CAN bus serial line (CAN-1).
Console PW30 may be used only for the purposes described in this manual.
4.2
Controls and adapters (figures 4a and 4b).

Auxiliary cooling circuit quick-fitting valve.
Connect the red hose of the torch auxiliary cooling circuit.

Auxiliary cooling circuit quick-fitting valve.
Connect the blue hose of the torch auxiliary cooling circuit.

Main cooling circuit quick-fitting valve.
Connect the blue hose of the torch main cooling circuit.
D
Main cooling circuit quick-fitting valve.
Connect the red hose of the torch main cooling circuit.
CN1 CAN bus-1 connector.
Connect cable (2) connecting console – cold wire feeder (optional).
CN2 CAN bus-1 connector.
Connect the cable of extension (33) connecting console – power source.
CN3 AUX-IN connector.
Control signal input from auxiliary CNC (optional). To be used for semi-automatic operation (section 5.4).
CN4 Connector not used
CN5 Connector not used
CN6 Connector. Connector DB9 (line RS232). Reserved for service functions.
