Procedure to communicate with a power controller:
1)
if used direct USB connection:
- Connect the USB cable between
the computer and the micro USB
connector on the power controller’s
keypad
- if necessary, wait for the USB driver to
install.
2)
if used RS-485 connection
connect the
power
controller terminal to computer
RS485 port. Usually the standard pc do
not have a RS485 port so a USB-to-485
converter is required.
3) Launch the Confi gurator software and
select
-
REVEX 1PH:
for single phase
-
REVEX 2/3PH:
for 2 or 3 phase power
controller
4) Choose
Serial Port
From
Setting ->
Serial Port
menu
5) In value
Port
, select the COM port connected to the power
controller (see the note below)
6) To verify communications, click
Test
7) Click
OK
NOTE!
to determine which port is connected to the
power controller, you can:
•
in the Windows¨ Device Manager, under Ports (COM &
LPT), looking for the COM port named “LPC USB VCOM
Port (COMx)” where x is the port number
•
On confi gurator software:
- open the software without connect the unit and see the
available COM port on COM port window setting,
- close the COM setting window,
- connect the USB cable to the power controller (wait for
the USB driver to install if necessary),- open the COM
setting window, see the added COM number and select
it.
