Calibrating the battery

You can calibrate the battery to make sure that the battery status indicator on the payment terminal
indicates the actual capacity of the battery.

Important:

You should only calibrate the battery when you are replacing the payment terminal battery, or

if you have noticed that the battery status indicator does not indicate the battery’s actual capacity.

If you want to calibrate the battery as a preventive measure, we advise you to do so not more than once
every three months. The battery calibration procedure can take 10 to 30 hours. You cannot use the
payment terminal during this period.

Complete the following steps to calibrate the battery:

Connect the payment
terminal to the power
supply or the base
station.

Press the menu symbol

to open the menu.

Select MERCHANT
MENU.

Enter the merchant
password and confirm
by pressing <OK>.

Select FUNCTIONS.

Select TERMINAL.

Select CALIBRATE
BATTERY.

Press <OK> to start the
calibration process.

If the calibration process
has been successfully
completed, the following
message will appear on
screen: ‘SUCCESSFUL’.
