When you have chosen a drive to save your backup to,
that drive will appear in the Backup Media box. If all
of your other settings (Start/End times etc.) are correct
you may click on the OK button to begin the backup.

Format CDR/CDRW

If you choose to backup to a CD you MUST format it
FIRST.
You may back up to a
CD-R (CD Recorder)
CD-RW (CD Rewriteable)
Or Optional DVD recorder
Formatting times vary for each type of disk.
CD-R Approx. 15 seconds
CD-RW Approx. 30 minutes
DVD-R Approx. 2+ hours

To format a CDR/CDRW, insert a blank disc into the CD tray and close the tray.
Wait 10 seconds for the drive to read the disc. If the ‘Roxio Project Selector’ (Easy CD Creator 5 Ba-
sic) or ‘Direct CD’ format utility do not start automatically, click on the ‘Format CDR/CDRW’ button
to start ‘Direct CD’.
Remember, If you choose to backup to a CD you MUST format it FIRST.
