7.4.3 Changing the Transmitter ID Code
Changing the ID Code requires use of a Cattron RAC16A Series Programmer. See Figure 7 in Section 7.4.4.
1. Confirm that the batteries are in good condition (refer to the Transmitter Troubleshooting Chart ).
2. Remove the battery door and batteries before removing the back of the transmitter.
3. Reinstall the batteries.
4. Attach the programming plug to the 4-pin connector on the circuit board. Verify that the ID Code is
displayed.
5. Enter the new ID Code directly on the keypad and press the PRG key. The RAC16A display should read
‘SUCCESS’.
6. Remove the batteries from the transmitter.
7.
After replacing the back panel, reinstall the batteries and battery door. ‘A’ Series captive screws should
be tightened until snug, plus half a turn.
