Each time the hob is switched on again at the mains, the
lock button (9) is activated and the lock indicator light
(12) is lit. To be able to cook, first the lock needs to be
disabled by pressing the button (9). This allows you to
calibrate the sensitivity of the buttons to the conditions
of use.
Switching the appliance on and off Touch control
1. Touch the touch key ON/OFF for 2 seconds. The control
is powered on: the power level indicators (3) show “0”
and the decimal points (13) flash. The next operation
must be performed within 10 seconds or the appliance
will automatically switch off.
Switching on a cooking zone
1. Press the button (2) on the required cooking zone. The
relative display will show “0”. The relative display (3)
will start flashing, showing that this area is active.
2. Set the power level (1 to 9) using the keys “+” and “-”
(5/4). The keys “+” and “-” have a repeater function,
i.e. holding these keys pressed will increase or reduce
the setting by one unit every 0.3 seconds. Only one
cooking zone may be switched on at a time, so only
one decimal point is lit up.
After selecting the power level, the display 3 will flash for
10 seconds to allow modification of the selected level if
desired. Otherwise, just press the button (2) again to set
the power level.
Switching off a cooking zone
1. The cooking zone must be on. The relative display (3)
will start flashing,
2. Return the set value to “0” using the button (4). After
10 seconds the display (3) will stop flashing.
Rapid switch off:
1. The cooking zone must be on. The relative display (3)
will start flashing,
2. Press keys “+” and “-“ (5/4) simultaneously and the
zone will switch off immediately. After 10 seconds the
display (3) will stop flashing.
Residual heat indicator
This informs the user that the glass is at a dangerous
temperature in the event of touching the area located
around the cooking zone. The temperature is determined
by a mathematical model and any residual heat is
indicated by a “H” on the corresponding 7-segment
display.
Heating and cooling are calculated based on:
· The selected setting level (between “0“ and “9“)
· The ON/OFF time.
After switching off the cooking zone, the correspon¬ding
display will indicate “H” until the temperature in the zone
has dropped below the critical level (≤ 65°C).
Switching off the appliance
The appliance can be turned off at any time by pressing
the on/off button (1).
Dual circuit cooking zone
Two cooking zones may be equipped with a dual circuit,
e.g., a central disc and an outer ring. You can either use
the central zone alone or both zones together and thus
adapt the cooking area to suit the size of the pan.
Switching on a dual circuit zone
1. The relative zone must be on. The relative display in
zone (3) will start flashing.
2. Select the desired power level (1 to 9).
3. Turn on the second circuit via the double circuit button (6)
while the display (3) is still flashing.
The indicator light (10) of the selected zone will illuminate;
the second circuit is switched on together with the first.
Switching off the second circuit of a dual circuit zone
1. The dual circuit zone must be on. The decimal point
(13) on the corresponding display must be illuminated.
2. Touch the dual circuit key (6). The indicator light (10)
goes out and the second circuit is switched off.
Key Lock (Optional)
The actuation of the key lock key “9” in the wait or active
mode locks the keyboard and the assigned key-lock LED
“12” is statically illuminated. Here, the actuation times
of the key-lock key have to be taken into account. The
control continues to work in the set mode, but may no
longer be operated with any key, except the key-lock key
itself or the on/off key “1”.
The switching OFF with the on/off key “1” is also possible
in the locked condition. When programmed timers expire
the respective timer alarms may be confirmed by actuating
any key without needing to unlock the control. The repeated
actuation of the key-lock key in the wait or active mode
unlocks the keyboard and the assigned key-lock LED fades.
All sensor keys may be operated as usual again.
Automatic Switch-off (Operating Time Limitation)
For each activated cooking zone a max. operating time
is defined. The max. operating time is depending on
the selected cooking stage. After the expiration of the
max. operating time the cooking zone is automatically
switched off.
Each actuation of the cooking zone status (changing the
cooking level etc.) resets the count-down timer to the
initial starting value.
