7.3.7 DMZ Host
This page allows configuration of a specific network device to be exposed or
visible directly to the WAN (public Internet). This may be used when problem
applications do not work with port triggers.
This may be necessary if the firewall is causing problems with an application
such as a game or video conferencing application. However, since DMZ
feature places the specify computer on your network outside of the firewall,
use this feature on a temporary basis. The computer in the DMZ is NOT
protected from hacker attacks.
Enter the last digits of its IP address in the IP field and then click
Apply
. Enter
a “0” (default) means there are no exposed hosts.
