5 Operation and Handling
This chapter provides instructions on the proper operation of your induction cooktop:
5.1 Features and benefits of induction cooktops
With an induction cooktop the heat is not transferred by a heating element to the cookware
and then to the food to be cooked. Instead the required heat is generated directly in th e
pots and pans by induction currents (electromagnetic field).
An induction coil under the ceramic glass cooktop generates an alternating
electromagnetic field, which passes through the ceramic glass cooktop and induces the
heat-generating current in the cookware.
Advantages of the Induction Cooktop
Energy-saving cooking due to direct energy transfer to the cookware.
Enhanced safety since energy is only transferred when a magnetic pots and pans are
placed on the cooktop.
Energy transfer between the cooktop and the cookware has a high level of efficiency.
