Oximeter Classifications

Electrical Insulation

The Oximeter (with integrated AC power supply) is a Class I device.

IEC 60601-1

Warning:

The Oximeter is not “Category AP or APG Equipment.”
There is a risk of an explosion hazard if a damaged Oximeter or accessory is 

used in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air or with oxygen 

or nitrous oxide.

Note:

The Oximeter can remain connected to the patient during cardiac defibrillation. 

All applied parts are “Type BF Defibrillation Proof.”

Patient Environment

The Oximeter has been tested with specific parts of the system used within the patient 

environment (Figure 1). These parts are:
