Power Supply
When using the printer, you can use either the specified AC adaptor or third-
party alkaline batteries as the power source.
•
Be sure to read “Safety Precautions” ( Page 4 ) before using the printer.
Operation Using the AC Adaptor
■ Connecting the AC Adaptor
1.
Plug the AC adaptor plug into
the AC adaptor connection
terminal of the printer.
2.
Connect the power cord to the
AC adaptor.
3.
Plug the power cord into a
household power outlet.
Important!
•
Be sure to plug the AC adaptor into a normal household power outlet.
•
Do not use adaptors other than the specified AC adaptor.
■ Disconnecting the AC Adaptor
1.
Press until the LED indicator turns off indicating that the
power is off.
2.
Unplug the AC adaptor from the power outlet and the printer.
Important!
•
Do not disconnect the AC adaptor while printing. Doing so may cause a fault.
•
Do not touch the AC adaptor plug during communication. Factors such as
static electricity may interrupt communication.
•
When connecting or disconnecting the AC adaptor while the printer is in the
“batteries loaded” status, always turn the printer off first.
