PLACEMENT
In general, the location of your new DAC-200ts is not critical. Certain precautions must be
taken to ensure optimum performance. Avoid extremely hot locations such as near radiator or
other heating units. Keep the top of the DAC-200ts clear of books, paper or other equipment to
protect against overheating.
WARNING
The DAC-200ts ships with the volume set to maximum (8.0) output for
a full 3 volt output. IF you are using the DAC-200ts as a digital
preamplifier and connecting directly to an amplifier (without using a
preamplifier, integrated amplifier, or receiver), it is recommended to set
the Volume to “Master” (see SETUP MENU instructions below) prior to
operating. Upon first turn on, please turn the volume down to -98.5
(minus) BEFORE turning on your amplifier. Otherwise, maximum output
volume will be passed directly to the amplifier inputs, which may
damage your amplifier, speakers or your hearing.
