9. Slide the top and bottom guide rails into the slots
in the top and the bottom of the cabinet. See
Fig. 5. Slide the panel all the way in, flush to the
unit cabinet.
10. Repeat Steps 6-9 for the remaining side panel.
11. Center the unit in the window. The bottom of the
air conditioner frame should be against the
window sill. See Fig. 6. Lower the window sash
until it rests firmly against the top rail. Make
sure the top and bottom of the cabinet fit snugly
to the window opening.
12. Pull out the expanding side panels from the sides
of the cabinet. The panels should expand to cover
the entire width of the window. See Fig. 7. There
are two holes provided in the ends of each wing
panel which are used to secure the panels to the
window. With the wing panels expanded, mark
the drilling locations on the sides of the window
frame and sill (through the holes in the panels).

13. Drill the holes marked in Step 12 with 1 /
8
-in. drill
bit. With the side panels expanded, secure the
wing panels to sill with two
3 /
4
-in. locking screws
provided (one each side). See Fig. 8. Secure side
panels to sash with two
1 /
2
-in. locking screws (one
each side) provided. See Fig. 9.
Cabinet is not secure and may fall out of window. Be
careful with air conditioner until it is secured to the
window.
