Engine oil - the petroleum oils recommended for use in this refrigeration unit
must comply with the American Petroleum Institute's (API) Class CG or better
rating. The only recommended synthetic oil is Mobil Delvac 1. The use of any
oil that does not meet this rating may affect the warranty on the engine. The
use of oil of the proper weight (viscosity) is also essential. The following chart
indicates the SAE weight rating of the oil to be used in various climates:

To check the engine oil level:

Run the unit to bring the engine up to

operating temperature, shut the unit off, and remove the cap/dipstick. Wipe
the dipstick clean and insert it into the oil fill tube without threading it all the
way back into the tube. Remove the dipstick again and check oil level. DO
NOT add oil if the level is in the “safe” range. If needed, add oil as indicated
by markings on dipstick until level is in the “safe” range.
