3.
INSTALLATION AND USE
All assembly, disassembly and installation operations must be carried out with the machine completely
detached from the tractor and positioned on the ground on the support foot in a horizontal position.
Do not perform this type of operation on slopes or in other places that do not ensure total stability of
the machine.
Proceed as follows:
-
wear work gloves, goggles or protective mask, and safety shoes
-
follow the rules for personal safety presented in the first chapter
3.1 Preparation of the SPRING 750/35 machine
Personnel assigned to use in the field of the machine should proceed in the following manner, before
using the machine in the field:
-
Check the oil levels in the gearbox and in the tank.
-
Perform a general servicing of the machine, paying particular attention to the fact that all the
accident-prevention parts have been reassembled correctly (if disassembled for
transportation/shipping needs) and are functioning well before connection to the tractor.
-
Check the tyre pressure
-
Check correct operation of the belts and of the hopper
-
Check that the tractor to be used is perfectly efficient
3.2 Connection of the machine to the tractor tow eyelet (Fig. 2)
Proceed as follows:
-
Wear work gloves
-
Make sure the machine is resting on the support foot and on perfectly level ground
-
Bring the tractor closer to the machine so that the tractor towing hook hole corresponds to the
machine towing eyelet.
-
Switch off the tractor and remove the keys from the panel
-
Lock the connection by inserting the connection plug, and securing it at the end with a split pin
-
Connect the gearbox/ pump unit to the tractor PTO and to the machine, then secure it with the
appropriate chain.
-
Connect the power plug to the tractor.
Once the connection phase has been completed, manually lift the support foot by turning the crank
handle, operate the machine at a reduced speed and pay attention to correct operation of the towing
elements and of the conveyor belts.
