3.3 Power supply connections
Warnings
The electrical connections must only be performed by a qualified electrician.
Install a 250 mAT fuse between the power supply line and terminal G. µAM does not have an internal
protection fuse.
Information
The power supply terminals are marked G and G0. Terminal G0 is the reference.
Use a class 2 safety transformer rated to 4 VA or higher. The power supply or the power transformer
used must guarantee double or reinforced insulation between the high voltage mains power and the
terminal.
If the transformer or power supply used for the µAM is the same that also supplies the µC
2 SE controller
connected to the same data line, terminal G0 on the µAM must be connected to terminal G0 on the
µC
2 SE.
If a power supply terminal needs to be earthed, terminal G0 must be used, on both the µAM and the
other devices; do not earth terminal G.
Procedure
Important: before powering up the devices connected to the common RS485 data line, these must have
been configured following the procedure described in the Chapter on “Configuration and start-up”. If this
is not done, there may be alterations in the operating data set by the manufacturer, with the risk of faults in
the operation of the chiller/hp.
Important:
µAM does not have a power switch; as soon as the power is connected it will start operating.
Insert the cable into the rear shell through the hole in the centre;
fit the cable ends on the cable wires;
connect the wires to power supply terminals G and G0.
close the terminal, making sure that the pins coming out of the board are inserted in the corresponding
terminals, and that the cables do not hinder operation.
