5. Care and Repair Instructions
Extensive information concerning care and repair you will find in the “Manual – Care and Repair of Inflatable
Tents” which you can order from LANCO in case of need.
5.1 General Information
Never pack the tent when it is humid or dirty! If on site the tent can only be packed wet it will have to be dried
immediately afterwards!
Store a tent only totally dry.
5.2 Cleaning
Only take common gentle cleaning soap.
a) Cleaning all textile parts with tepid, gentle soap-water and use a soft sponge. Always rinse with clear
water completely and let it dry in the air. Please read and act according to cleaning advises for the
fabric when you cannot remove dirt this way.
b) Clean dirty in- and deflation valves and relief valves the same way as above. In case that a valve is not
airtight anymore, please follow step 5.4.
5.3 Repairing of Holes and Fissures
Repairing of holes and fissures at the tent frame, groundsheet or roof can be done with the included repair set
according to its instructions.
5.4 Valve Check
Isn’t a valve airtight anymore, may be dirt under the gasket, which can removed as described:
a) Exhaust all air
b) Fill valve with warm soap-water
c) Press valve tappet: in- and deflation valve from the front, the relief valve must be pressed from the back
through the tube right in the middle.
d) The soap-water should flow into the tube.
e) Fill tube until the valve opens definitely. Check in- and deflation valve if they are tight.
f) If the valve still not working properly, it probably needs to be change.
6. Storage
The most important thing
storing a tent
is that the tent is
dry and clean
!
When a tent is stored wet or even humid mould will develop. It takes less than 48 hours under humid and warm
conditions to have mould growing on the fabric. And the mould doesn’t only develop on the outside of the fabric
where it may be washed away, the mycelium penetrates also into the PVC-coated fabric.
Mould can cause serious health problems like asthma or allergy to the point of a possible anaphylactic shock.
For this reason mould stains should never be disregarded. The manufacturer rejects any responsibility
concerning mould on the tent. The products leave our shop in the highest quality and without any harmful
substances.
So always make sure the tent is checked before storage, cleaned if necessary according to chapter 5.2 and
dried totally.
