Arming the AHS
To arm the AHS, enter the vehicle and close all the doors.
Turn the ignition key to ON and then press the button on the
CARBINE remote controller for 1 second. The parking lights will
flash, and the siren will chirp once. AHS is now armed.
Start the engine and drive the vehicle as normal.
At this point, if you are forced from the vehicle, AHS will start a
countdown sequence (See AHS triggered Sequence below) once
the door is opened and closed.
To turn off the AHS, press the button before turning off the
ignition. The parking lights will flash and the Horn/siren will chirp.
Note: Once the AHS is armed, it remains armed until the user
disarms it. Arming and disarming the remote security system does
not affect the state of the AHS. The position of the ignition key
determines if the system will become triggered when the doors are
opened and closed.
- When the ignition key is OFF, the vehicle doors can be opened
and closed without triggering the system.
- When the ignition key is ON, opening and closing the vehicle
doors will trigger the system.
