Instructions for VW Touareg and T5:
Please remember to switch off the ignition prior to installing this interface.
1. Loosen the navigation system from its mounting points
and remove it from the dash.
You will need a dedicated tool which isn’t supplied.
2. Remove the Quadlock plug form the navigation system.
Connect the 26pin AMP connector from the harness
to the navigation.
3. Connect the blue cable from the harness to pin 10 (CAN LOW)
at the Quadlock plug and the yellow cable to
pin 9 (CAN HIGH).
The black cable has to be connected to ground on pin 12.
The red cable has to be connected to battery on pin 15.
Additionally you can use the pink cable (+12V) to switch
on the video sources.
4. Connect the according remote control cables to the
3pin AMP connectors (eg. „STA-AL25“ for Alpine DVD
devices). You can use additional Y-harnesses
„CABLE-415“ / „CABLE-416“ (sold separately) to
connect the infrared receivers of the video devices
in parallel to the interface.
