1.7.12

Due to unexpected traffic developments or a departing aircraft taking longer to take-
off than anticipated, it is occasionally necessary to rescind the take-off clearance or
quickly free the runway for landing traffic.       

1.7.13

When an aircraft is about to take-off or has commenced the take-off roll, and it is
necessary that the aircraft should abandon take-off, the aircraft will be instructed to
cancel take-off or stop immediately; these instructions will be repeated.       

NOTE:

Military procedures for cancelled take-offs appear in Chapter 10 paragraph
3.4.

1.7.14

When a pilot abandons take-off he should, as soon as practicable, inform the tower
that he is doing so. Likewise, as soon as practicable, he should inform the tower of
the reasons for abandoning take-off if applicable, and request further manoeuvring
instructions.
