5.6.2 Air Cleaner

• Clean the air cleaner element regularly. Dirty air cleaner element reduces engine

performance and life.

• Replace the air cleaner element if damaged.

1. Follow the instructions in

"Operator's

Manual for the Engine"

to clean or replace

the air cleaner element.

1. Lift the vessel and support it with the vessel

safety prop.

2. Remove the spark plug cap and the spark

plug.

3. Follow the instructions in

"Operator's

Manual for the Engine"

to inspect, clean, or

replace the spark plug.

4. Put the spark plug and the spark plug cap

back in place.

5. Undo the vessel safety prop and lower the

vessel.

5.6.3 Spark Plug

• When removing the spark plug cap, do not pull the cable; pull the plug cap

instead. Pulling the cable can damage the conductor or the joint of the cable.

• Replace the spark plug if damaged.
