Installation instructions
If you do not have the loudspeaker system installed by a specialist you are r
ecommended to follow these general installation
instructions:
Safety
Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle battery
.
Polarity
When wiring the system you must ensur
e the corr
ect polarity
. Normally the labelled wir
e is the ‘+’ lead and the
neutral wir
e is the ‘-’ lead.
In principle with Canton loudspeakers the wide contact is the positive pole and the
narrow contact the negative pole.
The polarity of the connectors of all separating filters is marked on the casing.
Wire
W
e recommend high-grade wire with at least a 1.5 mm
2
cr
oss-section. Remember that depending on wher
e the
speakers are installed, you may need to bridge a considerable distance. Loudspeaker wires should never cross edges or sharp body parts without suitable pr
otection.
Installation
Use the fittings and cable clips supplied to fasten and connect the loudspeakers.
