When determining power supply current requirements, you must consider lock
and reader current draw if using the same supply for these devices.
NOTE:
If a gate operator is being used in place of a lock then an external relay is
recommended between the controller and the gate operator. The relay must have a
diode installed to prevent “back EMF” from damaging the controller.
