Caution

Cleaning the Printer

Periodically clean the printer to ensure quality printing and to avoid
problems. Always follow the safety guidelines below when cleaning the
printer.

z

To avoid personal injury from high voltage points, hot components, or moving
parts inside the printer, always switch the printer off before cleaning it and
disconnect its power cord from the power supply.

z

Never use thinner, alcohol, benzene or any other flammable liquid to clean the
printer. If a liquid cleaner comes in contact with the electrical components inside
the printer, this could cause a fire or electric shock.

Cleaning the Printer Surfaces

To achieve the best performance with this printer, clean the printer surfaces
at least once a month.

Press and hold the Power button for 1 second or more until the Online
lamp goes off, release the button, then switch the printer off.

Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
