Shooting Problem Subjects for the Autofocus (continued)

Shooting in Manual Focus Mode

The focus can be manually set.

Mode Dial

Press and hold the MF button,
then turn the zoom ring to focus
on the subject.

The

icon and the MF indicator will

appear on the LCD monitor (or in the
viewfinder).

The AF frame area is magnified when
[MF-Point Zoom] is set to [On] in the [

(Rec.)] menu.*

* Except in the

and

modes, when the

digital zoom is activated or a TV is used as
the display.

* Can also be set so that the image displayed

is not magnified (p. 47).

The MF indicator shows approximate figures. Use them as a
shooting guideline only.

Adjust the focus by turning the zoom ring until the image appears
focused on the LCD monitor (or in the viewfinder).

If you let go of the

button without operating the zoom ring,

Manual Focus mode will be canceled.

Shoot the image.
